A PLACE OF YOUR OWN
Renting an apartment or villa might be a good option for those staying a full week (not many are willing to rent shorter than that). It's nice to have a private place to relax, and if sharing with friends the cost might be lower compared to staying in a hotel.
We have gone down this route ourselves, and will stay two weeks in the city centre of Palma.
The place we booked is managed by Mia Linder and Adam Tegg, a Swedish/Brit couple who has a range of places to suit most tastes (and wallets).
Their full gallery can be viewed on Picasa:

FINDING THE PERFECT HOTEL
Decisions decisions...
Finding the right hotel can be a headache - so much to choose from on this fab island! Romantic countryside fincas, chic boutique inns, seaside resorts, family-style establishments, luxury hotels or humble retreats - Mallorca has them all.
Thankfully, our event planner, the lovely miss Mandy Lago, sent over a list of hotels she recommends.
If you wish to book any of these hotels, email Mandy and she will make all arrangements - lago@alagoevents.com
Mandy suggests staying in the town of Illetas, which is 15 minutes away from the party venue, Son Termens. Beautiful Illetas, known for its exclusive vibe and desginer-clad clientele, is perched on the seaside, but still a forgiving 10 km from the hustle and bustle of Palma. The luscious countryside, with its green hills and breathtaking sceneries, is within easy reach.
If you have any specific requests, let Mandy know, and she will share her insider information in order for you to find the perfect oasis for your stay in Mallorca.
These are the hotels Mandy suggests in Illetas.
Hotel Marina Portals - The perfect choice for guests seeking the thrills of a typical sun-kissed seaside resort.
Double room including breakfast - 90€

We will later post more suggestions, also for those looking to rent an apartment or villa, so be sure to drop by soon again!
WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?
The party is a strictly adult business (and I write this in a suitable inspiring moment after one of Vera Li's outbursts!). We hope you all understand!
However, if you wish to leave your child with a nanny on the premises this can easily be arranged by us. The cost will then be split between the families (a nanny charges €20 per hour).
If you are interested in leaving your kiddo with a babysitter arranged by us, email mallorca.celebration@gmail.com and let us know!
Also, some hotels offers babysitting services in the comfort of your own room.

THE LOCATION - SON TERMENS, MALLORCA
The party will be held at Son Termens, a beautiful possessió, traditional Majorcan farm estate, nestled among magnificent green hills and spoilt with vivacious sceneries. The gothic yet wildly romantic estate dates back to the 13th century, and its courtyards have been frequented by Marquises and nobles alike.
Located less than a mile from main city Palma, on the way towards Valldemossa, Son Termens is easily reached by taxi. Even though the island is fairly small, we recommend staying in the South-west or West part of Mallorca for the most convenient access - popular haunts like Palma, Soller, Palmanova, Deia and Valdemossa are all a short car ride away. Your hotel staff will most likely be well familiar with Son Termens.
And for any golfers out there - Son Termens is one of Mallorca's most famous golf courses, known for the panoramic views and idyllic surroundings.

HOW TO GET THERE
A big reason why we chose Mallorca as the location for our party is the island's hard-to-beat accessibility. It's quick and cheap to jet off to Palma from Stockholm, Copenhagen, Malmö, Gothenburg or London.
For those of us travelling from Tokyo it might prove a little more challenging to find a direct flight; however it gives us a nice reason for a stop-over in London, Berlin, Stockholm or even Paris!
If you don't want to go down the charter-trip road (for which Ving, www.ving.se, is hard to beat), there's plenty of low-cost airlines to choose between.
Norweigan Air travels from Stockholm and Copenhagen. In classic low-cost airlines-manner the ticket is dead cheap, and fees are added for luggage and food (however, still dead cheap).

Air Berlin travels from Stockholm, Gothenburg and London. However, there's a brief stop in Berlin.

Ryan Air, the Godfather of cheapo flights, departs from a range of European cities, and is a good option for those leaving from London. Ryan Air also flies from Stockholm Skavsta.

Cimber Sterling is a good alternative for those embarking in Copenhagen.

The options are plenty, so shop around until you find the best deal!
Sites like expedia, resia, reseguiden and travelstart might be useful to compare deals.
Charter-giant Ving sometimes offers flight seats only to a good price. Check your dates at ving.se.
Other reliable charter-agencies for great package deals are Fritidsresor and Apollo.

A WEDDING-PARTY OR NOT?
We kow we got you wondering.
Is it a wedding or what?
No, we won’t have a wedding ceremony or renewal of vows in any form.
No, there won’t be frilly white dresses and bridesmaids in powder-pink meringues or sky-high wedding cakes for us to cut.
Instead, think of it as the latest post-wedding party known to man. Omit the wedding, but keep the party-bit and exaggerate it 'til you can exaggerate no more!
The story goes;
We tied the knot on November 25th 2006 (sic!), and to compensate for not having a bash to match the occasion at the time we want to throw this party to celebrate love and the thrilling voyage on which life can take us.
Half a decade has passed since Christoffer chatted Maria up at Bodoni in Malmö (yes, there’s no smooth way around it), an old, rather sad newspaper canteen turned party central for one night. Since, there’s been three years in Tokyo, the last-minute-quickfire-wedding ceremony in Copenhagen, a beautiful baby girl, a few downs and countless ups.
Along the way we have shared with you all so many precious moments, and with this party we wish to gather all people dear to us in one big happy union!
Let’s together make this a summer night to treasure for the years to come.
And remember – what happens on Mallorca stays on Mallorca…
WELCOME!
From Tokyo with Love,
Maria & Chris
