ON THE WISHLIST

Honestly, we are so humbled and thrilled that you all are taking the time and effort to travel all the way to the Balearics to celebrate with us, and that's the best gift we can imagine. We could wish for nothing more.

However, a few guests have insisted that they want to give us a present too, something more lasting than a mere presence.
Keeping in mind that contribution is completely optional and freed from expectations, we are planning a very late honeymoon to the Greek islands next year (looks like classic Santorini is on the maps). We can think of nothing more suiting (apart from you coming to Mallorca!) than for our friends to add something to this trip.

If You wish to contribute we have set up an account in Swedish Handelsbanken -
Bankgiro 5450-8155 (registered as From Tokyo with Love).
Please make sure to clearly state your name in the subject line - super-important!

In case you want your contribution to translate into a specific treat, like a bottle of Retsina or a romantic boattrip, we would love for you to write it in the guestbook that will be at the party. Or on a good old greeting card!

Please let us remind you again that your attendance at our party is more than enough to make us feel spoiled and really lucky, so no pressures. Really.
But if you wish to spoil us even more, who are we to say no, dear friends! Lots of love, Maria & Chris

REVEALED! THE DRESSCODE!

Time to reveal the ever-important DRESSCODE!

Flickering options all the way from slick James Bond-esque smoking-looks to bold Ibiza-style bohemia, we finally settled for...
(tada!)

COCKTAIL PARTY DECADENCE INFUSED WITH SOME 70'S-INSPIRED GLAMOUR!

For us, images of 70's cocktail parties sprang to mind as this was THE era of decedence and endless party nights oozing of elegance, sex and seduction.

To get y'all inspired, check out the collection of photos below!

But remember - no rules.
Make the style your own, BUT promise make this THE night to live out all those fantasies of animal prints, massive heels, heaps of gold, a colour palette worthy of Jackie Collins, flirty glares under heavy lashes, disco-diva dresses, slick suits or moviestar sunglasses.

For the ladies, a floaty kaftan dress works just as well as a bright little number drenched in sequin. Go long or short - anything goes as long as you feel GORGEOUS and GLAM while sipping your martini under the star-studded Balearic skies... ('cause Martinis there will be!)

For gentlemen, a light, smart jacket or stylish suit is the way to go. Elegant, yet comfortable and all set for an all-nighter. Weither you want to channel Bond during a stint at a Monaco casino back in the days or a sleek Jagger smooching Bianca at Studio54 - make this the party to live out that inner sartorialist!

See you by the pool, gorgeous!

/Maria & Chris

A PLACE OF YOUR OWN

Renting an apartment or villa might be a good option for those staying a full week (not many are willing to rent shorter than that). It's nice to have a private place to relax, and if sharing with friends the cost might be lower compared to staying in a hotel.

We have gone down this route ourselves, and will stay two weeks in the city centre of Palma.
The place we booked is managed by Mia Linder and Adam Tegg, a Swedish/Brit couple who has a range of places to suit most tastes (and wallets).
Their full gallery can be viewed on Picasa:

If you have any enquiries, email the very sweet and helpful Mia on apartment@facilnet.es

FINDING THE PERFECT HOTEL

Decisions decisions...

Finding the right hotel can be a headache - so much to choose from on this fab island! Romantic countryside fincas, chic boutique inns, seaside resorts, family-style establishments, luxury hotels or humble retreats - Mallorca has them all.
Thankfully, our event planner, the lovely miss Mandy Lago, sent over a list of hotels she recommends.
If you wish to book any of these hotels, email Mandy and she will make all arrangements - lago@alagoevents.com

Mandy suggests staying in the town of Illetas, which is 15 minutes away from the party venue, Son Termens. Beautiful Illetas, known for its exclusive vibe and desginer-clad clientele, is perched on the seaside, but still a forgiving 10 km from the hustle and bustle of Palma. The luscious countryside, with its green hills and breathtaking sceneries, is within easy reach.

If you have any specific requests, let Mandy know, and she will share her insider information in order for you to find the perfect oasis for your stay in Mallorca.

These are the hotels Mandy suggests in Illetas.

Hotel Marina Portals - The perfect choice for guests seeking the thrills of a typical sun-kissed seaside resort.
Double room including breakfast - 90€
http://www.hotel-marina-portals.com (in Portals, a short 10min drive from the others)

Hotel Albatros - Situated on a beautiful cove, offering spectacual views, Albatros is an ideal choice for beach lovers.
Double room including breakfast - 147€

Hotel Zhero - Fashionable and trendy design hotel a five minute drive from Palma city.
Double room including breakfast - 152€
http://www.hotel-zhero.com

Melia de Mar - One of the most charismatic hotels on the island and one of the best examples of modern Architecture on the Balearic Island.
Double deluxe room with sea views including breakfast - 290€

Hotel Maricel - Luxe boutique hotel with stunning architecture. Double rooms from 248€ to 460€

We will later post more suggestions, also for those looking to rent an apartment or villa, so be sure to drop by soon again!

WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?

The party is a strictly adult business (and I write this in a suitable inspiring moment after one of Vera Li's outbursts!). We hope you all understand!

However, if you wish to leave your child with a nanny on the premises this can easily be arranged by us. The cost will then be split between the families (a nanny charges €20 per hour).
If you are interested in leaving your kiddo with a babysitter arranged by us, email mallorca.celebration@gmail.com and let us know!

Also, some hotels offers babysitting services in the comfort of your own room.

THE LOCATION - SON TERMENS, MALLORCA

The party will be held at Son Termens, a beautiful possessió, traditional Majorcan farm estate, nestled among magnificent green hills and spoilt with vivacious sceneries. The gothic yet wildly romantic estate dates back to the 13th century, and its courtyards have been frequented by Marquises and nobles alike.

Located less than a mile from main city Palma, on the way towards Valldemossa, Son Termens is easily reached by taxi. Even though the island is fairly small, we recommend staying in the South-west or West part of Mallorca for the most convenient access - popular haunts like Palma, Soller, Palmanova, Deia and Valdemossa are all a short car ride away. Your hotel staff will most likely be well familiar with Son Termens.

And for any golfers out there - Son Termens is one of Mallorca's most famous golf courses, known for the panoramic views and idyllic surroundings.
